The unobtrusive James Loudspeaker PP6-M PowerPipe subwoofer offers a seamless fusion of visionary technology and revolutionary performance.
The basic design of the Power Pipe is to move large volumes of air through a relatively small tube that resonates at a tuned frequency of around 35Hz. This is achieved through the design of the driver and the surrounding sealed enclosure. Because the woofer has been tuned to have its acoustic peak in the frequency range where bass energy is greatest in music and movie soundtracks, the driver is able to operate at the frequencies that fall within its linear diaphragm excursion range and focus on the bandpass -Leave Flextube to simply “amplify” its performance.
The speaker consists of aluminum drivers mounted in a sealed enclosure. At the front of each speaker is a sealed bandpass port into which the flextube connects and from which any number of connection options are available.
