The Sonance SGS 8.1 AMP system is a low-impedance garden system for connection to existing hi-fi amplifiers with 2 x 100 watts. With the arrangement of the 8 satellites, the area to be served can be clearly defined. A semicircular or circular arrangement creates ideal listening positions with distance to the neighbors. SGS, the scalable package for good sound in the garden, any time of the day, all year round. 8 satellites in 8 ohms, 1 x 10″ stereo sub in 8 ohms, for amplifiers from approx. 100W sin. SUB installation partially underground. This set includes the matching amplifier, alternatively this set is also available without an amplifier.
satellite speakers
The Sonance Garden Series satellite speakers were developed using elements from the award-winning Sonance Landscape Series speakers. Features such as interchangeable wide diffuser grilles, included 9-inch ground stakes, and an adjustable mounting knuckle allow for ideal placement and positioning for optimal audio direction. A 3/4-inch polyurethane dome tweeter and 3,5-inch anodized aluminum cone woofer deliver maximum fidelity and performance in a compact satellite speaker design. The Sonance Garden Series satellite speakers feature a 1/2-inch NPS thread, just like the Sonance Landscape Series speakers, allowing for compatibility with existing Sonance ground stakes, tree mounts, and surface mounts.
In-ground subwoofer
The new Sonance Garden Series subwoofer is a 10-inch in-ground dual voice coil design for the ideal balance of low frequencies in the Sonance Garden Series system. The Sonance Garden Series in-ground subwoofer features a 10" dual voice-coil polypropylene woofer for superior excursion in a discreet buried enclosure.
System. The Garden Series subwoofer hides discreetly in the ground, leaving only its dome exposed to blend into the landscape. The dual voice coil driver is wired to both the left and right channels of the amplifier in the daisy chain.
System
The Sonance Garden Series is a system of 8 satellite speakers and 1 in-ground subwoofer connected to a single amplifier. The result is a nice blend of performance and ease of installation. The system provides even, balanced coverage and can be expanded for up to 16 speakers and 2 subwoofers on a single amplifier. The Sonance Garden Series has been expertly designed as a complete system to deliver the greatest performance with the appropriate speaker-to-subwoofer ratio. With the ability to expand up to 16 speakers and 2 subwoofers, the Sonance Garden Series provides even, balanced coverage for comfortable outdoor enjoyment with up to 3.500 square feet of Sonance Garden Series cable from the SR 2-125 dual-channel amplifier, alternating left and right Channel in a daisy chain arrangement from one speaker to the next. The wires are easily concealed by light ditches or mulch over the top.
Loudspeaker installation as usual:
In a typical outdoor installation, 2 loudspeakers are usually placed. The result is undesirable side effects such as uneven volume at different listening positions.
It should be noted here that sound behaves in much the same way as light. Individual light sources illuminate a small area, but if you change your position in the room, you are quickly left in the dark. It is therefore advisable to use several light sources for uniform illumination.
If, as has been the case up to now, the speakers are placed directly at the house, the sound radiates beyond the listening position, unfortunately often to the neighbors as well.
Speaker installation as recommended:
By installing several satellite speakers, you can evenly cover a large area. The advantages of such an installation are obvious. On the one hand, you can lower the volume because it is even throughout the garden.
By installing a loudspeaker system on the floor, the radiation into the neighboring property is significantly reduced and the sound quality improves.
