The Episode CORE 3 ES-CORE-36-AWIC offers stunning sound at an affordable price without sacrificing performance. With a full line of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, including all-weather and dual voice coil/surround hybrid models, Episode is able to deliver an immersive sound experience at an excellent price.
The Episode Core series is available in three different series, which differ as follows:
- 1 series: The CORE 1 Series features a vacuum-formed polypropylene woofer and Mylar dome tweeter that deliver impeccable clarity and punchy bass.
- 3 series: The CORE 3 Series features a vacuum-formed polypropylene woofer and fabric dome tweeter for smooth frequency response and powerful bass.
- 5 series: The CORE 5 Series features an injection-molded polypropylene cone and a Teteron dome tweeter that provide an audible difference in sonic performance and improved audio dispersion.
In addition, there are several different types of built-in loudspeakers and woofer sizes in each series:
- INNER: Designation for in-ceiling (recessed ceiling)
- IW: Designation for in-wall (wall installation)
- DVCS: Labeling for Dual Voice Coil (Single Stereo Speaker) This speaker features two voice coils, allowing it to transmit both stereo channels through one speaker, producing stereo sound from a single speaker. Alternatively usable as a surround speaker.
- RE: Designation for All Weather (outdoor / garden capable speakers - also suitable for damp rooms)
- Point: Term for angled woofers and tweeters for directional sound in every room
- CORE 5X: Designation for CORE Series 5 and the "X" in the designation stands for the woofer size in inches
