Yamaha RX-A2A Dolby Atmos® with Treble Virtualization

If you don't have ceiling speakers or upward-firing speakers, there's Dolby Atmos® with height virtualization. This system simulates the Atmos audio experience with front-facing speakers. You can configure up to five speakers to have the same effect as two ceiling speakers, or use all seven channels for an effective simulation of four overhead speakers.

CINEMA DSP 3D for movies, music and gaming

Yamaha's unique 'Sound Field Creation' technology was developed by combining measured sound field data and digital signal processing. Sound improvement for digitally compressed music (Compressed Music Enhancer)

When music is encoded in the Yamaha RX-A2A into a digital, compressed format such as MP3, the frequency response is affected. Yamaha's Compressed Music Enhancer uses exclusive algorithms in the digital signal processing that restore the lost quality. This way the music sounds the way it should! Fresh and balanced.

Benefits of High Slew Rate Amplifiers

Such an amplifier produces precise signal transmission and is particularly suitable for high-resolution audio signals. Amplifiers with high slew rate often cause unstable signal transmission, but Yamaha's new circuit achieves the high slew rate with stable signal transmission.

Yamaha Anti-Resonance Technology Wedge

The Anti Resonance Technology (ART) wedge forms a fifth foot in the center of the chassis base. This dampens the vibrations generated by the power transformer, power transistors and heat sinks, as well as those that can be caused by the sound emitted by the speakers, thus providing dynamic sound and focused, precise reproduction.

HDR10+*

HDR10+ not only stands for a dynamic spectrum (light-dark ratio) in video content from scene to scene (or even from frame to frame). With a small amount of metadata, it also represents the scene characteristics between light and dark, so that important details are preserved. This allows the images – and therefore the filmmaker's intention – to be more realistically represented on the screen.

8K/60Hz, 4K/120Hz*

Supports end-to-end 8K/4K resolutions as well as higher refresh rate solutions with a single redesigned cable for seamless integration into the HDMI ecosystem. 8K creates a super-immersive moving image with twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of 4K and four times the number of pixels. In combination with the update rate of 60 Hz, the result is a smooth, sharp moving image, even with fast image changes. Thanks to 4K/120 Hz, ultra-fast moving images in UHD can be reproduced with high contrast and pin sharp, so that sports, action films, high-performance gaming systems and VR are much more pleasant to watch.
