Sound package that revives the fun of films and series. My wife absolutely didn't want any speakers anymore and so a soundbar had to be found. I always ran after these great floorstanding speakers and regretted it. But my wife was simply against new floorstanding loudspeakers and an alternative had to be found. So I did some research and the Sennheiser Ambeo Max soundbar is the highlight. …. It's worth a try and ordered. End of the story: Not quite as great as my floorstanding speakers, but I'm satisfied and can slowly forget them. No comparison to the old soundbar from B***.

Attention, no subwoofer cable included. So it's best to order a suitable one at the same time. From ordering to delivery everything went wonderfully. Except that I didn't have a subwoofer cable, but that was quickly solved ;)

After two Samsung SB (HWK 850, HWQ90R), the first with connection problems, the second with barely perceptible bass, I switched to the Canton Smart 10 with Sub 12 and two Soundbox 3. Unfortunately, an eArc connection to the LG OLED was not possible here (Toslink - makeshift), the virtual center made speech intelligible and ultimately the optics under the 77″ bothered me. The Canton set did a relatively good job with films, but it didn't convince me with music.
To my wife's great delight, an upgrade was needed, but unfortunately there weren't many options left. I was able to buy the Ambeo Max in top condition, a year old, for a great price of €1,3k and I am completely satisfied, both in 3D operation and with the stereo performance. Of course it doesn't completely replace my floorstanding speakers or the 5.1 set, but after my downgrade it's the best alternative I've heard so far. Even if I'm over 60, I can't resist using the woofer, unfortunately the automatic mode doesn't work, without input it audibly babbles to itself (constant on/off) and the missing controls prevent adjustment after calibration. The part is radio-controlled and can be easily operated via the Canton's OSD and unfortunately has to be replaced. Due to the lack of reflective surfaces, I miss the surrounds a bit, the display could (should) be larger and an OSD is largely replaced with the good app.
Overall, I'm happy with the "Benz" at the moment and don't regret the change at all - the look under the panel is worlds better.
