Monitor Audio CSS230
The Monitor Audio CSS230 is a loudspeaker with an innovative design and an impressively shallow mounting depth (50 mm) - specially crafted to offer hi-fi levels in spaces where no high-quality loudspeaker has gone before.
Between 2-inch stud walls or where pipes or cables limit the installation depth, the hybrid box construction and a special broadband loudspeaker arrangement combine to produce harmonious audio quality with exceptionally versatile installation options.
The hybrid box offers the best of all worlds for the installer and his customer. Together, the three special low-mid units achieve the bass output of a 6 1/2 inch driver with an extremely subtle, flush profile.
In keeping with Monitor Audio's renowned precision, the crossover incorporates high-quality film capacitors and low-loss inductors - selected for their signal integrity - to ensure unparalleled detail and dynamics for a loudspeaker of this size and application. When the CSS230 is in “ported” mode, a fine gauze protects the acoustic system from dust ingress.
This model can also be used with the Square Grid or Premium Grid (sold separately).
