NAD C268 Digital Stereo Power Amplifier
The NAD C268 is a remarkably affordable stereo power amp with features and technology unmatched in other amps in its class. Not only is it a perfect addition to the NAD preamplifier C658, it can also be used in numerous other configurations - for example in combination with any stereo or A/V preamp, for bi-amping your loudspeakers or as a Upgrade of the NAD integrated amplifier C368, so that both amplifiers can be operated in bridge mode. In mono operation, the NAD C268 achieves a continuous output of an impressive 300 watts at 8 Ω. If both channels are operated separately, they still mobilize a generous 2 x 80 watts. Both symmetrical XLR inputs and classic cinch sockets are available for the connection to the preamplifier. The C268 has a level control for the input signal to enable optimal volume adjustment of all power amplifiers used in the network.

HybridDigital™ - Class D amplifier
The innovative HybridDigital™ technology is used in the C268. This is a self-oscillating Class D amplifier that works with active negative feedback. This first converts the analog curve-shaped input signal into a square-wave signal using pulse width modulation (PWM). The music information is now exclusively in the changing pulse width. Since the power transistors only require two switching states - on or off - Hybrid Digital™ Class D amplifiers, in contrast to Class A and B technology, work extremely efficiently and achieve a power yield of more than 90%.
