MAGNETAR UDP900 high-end universal
The newly designed 6-layer gold immersion motherboard in the MAGNETAR UDP900 uses a high-precision, ultra-low-noise, temperature-compensated TXCO crystal oscillator, which powers the high-precision LDO power supply of the UDP800 doubled. Murata multilayer ceramic capacitors, TDK magnetic components and 30 NCC electrolytic capacitors further improve audio and video quality. Both audio boards use 4-layer PCB boards, each channel is provided with independent wiring, equipped with a high-precision temperature-compensated TXCO crystal, an oscillator, numerous ELNA and NCC audio capacitors, paired with red WIMA and ELNA SILMIC II capacitors, and an independent high-performance linear power supply module with balanced HiFi XLR connectors and gold-plated RCA outputs that ensure better audiophile sound quality.
Excellent image and sound reproduction
The UDP900 supports Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ standards for highly dynamic images. ESS9038PRO D/A decoding for 2-channel XLR balanced and unbalanced RCA outputs, ESS9028PRO D/A decoding for 7.1 RCA output. XMOS USB audio input support.
Elegant and solid quality in the case construction
The MAGNETAR UDP900 has dimensions of 445x321x133mm (including feet) and weighs 15,5kg. The player consists of aluminum alloy body and reinforced double-layer chassis structure. The main internal components are independently shielded by a metal case, greatly reducing vibration, noise and external magnetic field interference, ensuring pure and high-resolution audio and video quality.
Large selection of media formats and connections
A custom high performance, high transient switching power supply provides power to the main digital board. A high-performance, 60W low-noise transformer with two-stage filtering and a multitude of Japanese Rubycon electrolytic capacitors provide the high transient response required for surround sound systems and high-resolution audio. A separate metal housing dampens noise and ensures stability and quietness, further improving audio and video quality.
Dual power supply
A 60W toroidal transformer provides power for analog audio signals. Adopting an imported magnetic core, high-quality oxygen-free copper tubing, metal shields, and full epoxy resin filling, it reduces vibration noise and heat generation, and improves performance and audio quality.

I already had the Reavon UBR-X200 and then switched to the Magnetar UDP800 and that was a real difference in quality and smoothness. I had pre-ordered the Magnetar UDP900 just in case I was going to ditch my SACD player and replace it with an all rounder, the UDP800 was good but not as good as my sole SACD player. UDP900 corrects this situation and meets and exceeds all expectations.

Excellent player, probably the best that is currently available on the market. I was a little skeptical because of the look, but the device looks even better than it does in the pictures with its extremely high-quality, solid workmanship. The extremely quiet drive is immediately noticeable, very pleasant even with 4k BDs.
Software seems well implemented. Picture in 4k and Blu-ray is absolutely top, although the differences here are certainly small compared to other top players. However, the audio area sets a new benchmark, the very complex analog section pays off in a high-quality system with a wonderfully musical, spatially staggered sound pattern. For me the first universal player that is in no way inferior to absolute top stereo CD/SACD players and completely replaces them. Despite the high price, it is an absolute recommendation for anyone looking for a high-end device.

I've been looking for a UHD player as excellent as the Magnetar UDP900 for a long time, which also plays all CD/SACD formats in high-end resolution. And the audio is absolutely high resolution. Even the headphone output is in no way inferior. With very well produced UHD concerts, for example Mylène Farmer-Live 2019, Le Film [4K Ultra, HD], or Big Big Train, with the Blu-ray 'Reflectors Of Light' you definitely have to watch and listen to it on the Magnetar UDP900 best via a high-quality 7.1 system consisting of a preamplifier and power amplifier combination. The spatial resolution and image that then opens up leaves you speechless on the sofa and forgetting about time.
I still have one point of criticism; Unfortunately, the display can hardly be seen from a distance of 4m because it is too dark and the dimmer only has two levels.
