Using advanced simulation and analysis tools, our engineers have developed the 12th generation Uni-Q with MAT™. This new driver delivers less discoloration, less distortion, and a more transparent and lifelike sound than previously possible, distributed evenly throughout the room.

Great speakers fade into the background and give the music the full stage. The LS50 Meta is one such speaker and improvements over the legendary LS50 include driver performance optimization and the patented offset flexible port for best acoustic performance and incredibly immersive sound.

Arched for high performance

The LS50 Meta's low-diffraction curved baffle is precisely modeled around the Uni-Q driver array. Their smooth, curved surfaces help radiate sound across the baffle without interference from hard edges that cause diffraction. The result is a clean, precise sound.

Prepared for action

The baffle of the LS50 Meta is made from injection molded molding compound (DMC), while inside the cabinet cross-bracing and Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) combine to dampen internal vibrations. The result of this meticulous attention to detail is the lowest discoloration of any loudspeaker in this class.

Flexible port

Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), the port flare and profile of LS50 Meta's patented offset port is calculated to avoid the onset of turbulence, and the flexible port walls prevent resonances from coloring the midrange. This results in enhanced brilliance with exceptional depth and detail.
