Stealth Acoustics SA 255

The Stealth Acoustics SA 255 MKII is an integrated monaural subwoofer amplifier with crossover designed to provide a low-distortion power source for Stealth Acoustics' invisible subwoofer panels or other unpowered subwoofers. The SA 255 MKII can also be used for full-range loudspeakers when the low-pass filter is switched off. The SA 255 MKII can be stacked with other components or installed in a standard 19″ equipment rack requiring two RU (3-1/2″) spaces using the included detachable rack brackets and is suitable for use throughout the home or thought in the home cinema. The SA 255 MKII delivers a solid 250 watts into an 8Ω load and 350 watts into 4Ω. A variable low-pass filter with 18 dB per octave allows infinite crossover points from 50 Hz to 100 Hz.

With a variety of input and output connections, the SA 255 MKII easily integrates into any audio system. Inputs include RCA, balanced XLR and Phoenix connectors, all with loop-through capability. The speaker level in/loop through connections allow the SA 255 MKII to be fed directly from full range speakers anywhere in the system. The amplifier output of the SA 255 MKII is connected via a 5-way terminal designed to take heavy speaker cables. A selectable automatic power-on function activates the amplifier only when audio signals are present. Other features include an internal, silent, 8-speed fan that turns on automatically when needed.

Front panel controls include a volume knob, variable low-pass filter, phase knob, power button, and six LEDs for monitoring output power. Rear panel controls consist of a filter bypass switch for full frequency range operation, a signal mute switch, and a 3-position switch for graphics control. The input voltages 115VAC and 230VAC can be selected via a switch on the back.
