Episode Signature SIG-78-IW - Easy Installation

Signature by Episode features exclusive Push Lock by Swarm technology, a tool-free mounting solution designed specifically for Signature. On both in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, Push Lock secures the speaker with a simple push of a button for the fastest, most secure installation on the market. Also, the brackets can be locked down an additional 6mm if you need extra security in situations with uneven sheetrock, popcorn ceilings, etc.

Your speaker, your choice

Each Signature by Episode speaker (yes, both in-ceiling and in-wall speakers) can be installed using a one- or two-stage process. Install the speaker in one step, tool-less and with just one ladder climb, or remove the speaker core and install the bracket with the optional back box and grille so you don't risk damaging the speaker during the construction is complete.

Direct mount back box

The one-step installation features a jumper-free design for a one-cable connection to the back of the backbox (sold separately), so the installation only needs to be done once via the ladders. The two-stage installation allows you to prewire and attach the backbox to the bracket so the blown insulation does not fall through the ceiling and pressure is maintained during house efficiency testing. And when you come back to finish work, the speaker will be installed into the bracket and backbox, no cables AND tools required. Each Signature by Episode speaker comes with a cradle and has a compatible cradle that can be purchased separately.

Innovative tweeter pods

The Signature Tweeter Pods are vented on the back to lower the tweeter's resonant frequency, allowing the system to be bypassed for better coverage and less distortion. The lower the crossover frequency, the less the woofer has to work to play in the higher frequency range, resulting in greater spaciousness when listening to music.

countersunk holes

Our wall brackets feature countersunk holes so you can easily attach the speaker directly to a stud if required.

Stronger magnets for the grid

The magnet structure of the speaker frame has an adhesive force almost twice that of other architectural speakers, preventing the grilles from vibrating at high volume and sagging over time.

Ribbed surround

Inverted surrounds feature a parabolic design to allow greater cone excursion in a linear shape without undulating the surround, allowing the speaker to be played louder without distortion.

Our Signature by Episode speakers are compatible with our ES-ESS mounts and a variety of thin, paintable grilles for a sleek, minimalist finish. And as an added bonus, our Signature by Episode speakers share the same cut-out dimensions as all of our other Epsiode speakers, for ultimate versatility. This speaker is compatible with ES-ESS-BRKT-IW and SIG-CRADLE-IW.
