The W5800 features an all-glass lens system with 14 elements coated in 7 groups with low dispersion materials, providing superior transparency that greatly reduces color differences and reproduces 4K images in full clarity.

HDR tone mapping

BenQ W5800's exclusive HDR PRO technology enhances the 4K HDR experience with improved two-step tone mapping that provides greater balance between details in bright and dark scenes.

Locally optimized shadows and highlights

The industry-leading Local Contrast Enhancer (LCE) algorithm divides images into more than 1.000 zones. LCE analyzes the brightness of each segment and adjusts the gamma independently to better define dark and light details and increase image depth.

Comprehensive image optimization

BenQ Dynamic Black technology dynamically adjusts the light output of the projection by recognizing images, ensuring optimal contrast and lifelike images. Laser projectors equipped with fast dimming function respond instantly to changes in brightness and deliver 20% higher contrast than other SSI models.

HDR video optimization frame by frame

The new HDR10+ technology adds dynamic metadata to the HDR10 source files, which is used to optimize each frame of the HDR video to improve details in light and dark areas of HDR10+ content.
