Monitor Audio CF230

The Monitor Audio CF230 is Monitor Audio's most visually discreet speaker system, offering integrators, architects and installers a variety of design options. Its ingeniously designed retrofit and pre-construction make it an installers dream, with its C-CAM based array driver delivering the superb audio quality the British manufacturer is famous for.

You have the choice between a stylish, flush installation or a discreet, borderless retrofit. Round and square options are offered, with an additional choice of ceiling mounting or incorporation into a standard stud wall construction.

The CF230 can be used individually or in multiples and offers excellent sound thanks to its specially designed coincidence driver. Thanks to Monitor Audio's innovative C-CAM metal cone technology and the placement of the woofer and tweeter in a single assembly, outstanding sound quality results from an incredibly compact driver.

The CFB3-R & CFB3-SQ allow a seamless, flush installation. You get clean lines with no shadow-causing edges, and if you paint the grille to match the ceiling, the speaker blends even more into the background.

The CFB3-KIT retrofit kit provides secure attachment behind plasterboard and requires only three screws. Forget about cutting out large chunks of material and say goodbye to expensive mounts.

Add a subwoofer and you get deep bass that enhances the already impressive sound. The driver and chassis, specially designed for this model, are made in one piece, which saves space and allows for maximum size of the driver compared to the size of the grille. The completely closed rear wall and its fine-meshed net prevent the ingress of dust and construction waste.

The CF230's ability to blend into any environment opens up numerous system possibilities. Available in mono or stereo operation, the CF230 provides consistent coverage in a room of approximately 3m² and a ceiling height of approximately 2,4m. It is easy to drive and its 8 ohm impedance means that a single stereo amplifier, like e.g. the Monitor Audio IA150-2, can conveniently operate a pair of CF230.

With more than four speakers, a multi-channel amplifier such as the A150-8C monitor with eight channels also works perfectly. Regardless of the size of the room, the CF230 setup remains compact and covers a wider range than a conventional in-ceiling speaker, which not only saves costs but also improves the look.
