Russound MCA-66

Russound's MCA-66 multi-zone digital controller amplifier provides up to six zones for distributed audio systems. Scalable up to 66 zones, the MCA-36 offers numerous options to add distributed audio systems to any room in the home or small business. The MCA-66 features a variety of input options for connecting up to 6 sources. AV source input options include 6 analogue, 3 digital (up to 3 coaxial or 2 coaxial and 1 optical), 1 paging and 1 Bluetooth extender connection. The Bluetooth connection allows the MCA-66 to be installed in an equipment rack, while the optional Russound BTC-1X Bluetooth receiver can be placed up to 300′ away in or near the room where the Bluetooth source will be installed should. In addition, the BTC-1X improves audio quality with the powerful aptX audio codec. An RNET link allows for metadata transfer, linking of multiple MCA controllers and connection to any Russound RNET Smart Sources such as external AM/FM tuner ST1.

All MCA products are Ethernet enabled devices that enable IP based functionality and control. RIO (Russound I/O) allows integration, control and bi-directional communication with Russound IP-based control systems via an open protocol. In addition to dedicated keyboards and touchscreen control options, the free Russound App (iOS and Android) controls all Ethernet-connected Russound products on the LAN, including the MCA-66 and its source components.

The MCA-66 features 6 zones of high quality amplification and is rated at 20 watts per channel. Zones 1 and 2 feature fixed or variable line level outputs for external amplifiers, wireless extensions, or use as a subzone. In addition, an RS-66 port is available on the rear of the MCA-232 for integration with serial-connected home automation systems.

Custom audio settings, party modes, do not disturb, source and zone linking, and participation in the all on/all off feature are standard features. The MCA-66 features alarm and sleep timers, a home theater trigger, and a 12VDC trigger output for power management and control. Source six can serve as a paging input for connection to a third party paging or telephone system.

Using Russound keyboards or touchscreens, the MCA-66 transmits vital information such as preset names, station ID, artist, song titles and album art, depending on the capabilities of the source being used. The simpler SLK-1 keyboard can also be used for areas where simple control is sufficient, such as. B. in entrance and exit areas of a home or business, or in any area where the Russound app could be the dominant control interface.

Note: The MCA-66 is part of the Russound Certified Installer Required Program and can only be installed and configured by a Russound Certified Installer.
