Description
NAD CI 16-60 DSP
The NAD CI 16-60 DSP is a highly versatile 16-channel power amplifier specifically designed for professional installations. The amplifier delivers a continuous output power of 16 x 60 watts into 8 Ω, whereby each pair of channels can be operated in a bridge circuit if required and then provides a continuous output power of 140 watts. The compact hybrid digital amplifier platform, which comprises only two rack units, mobilizes a high output current of up to 15 amperes, which is typical for NAD. The ideal product for high quality multiroom audio installations.
Key Features
• Configuration and calibration via web-based user interface
• 16 output stages, each with 60 watts of continuous output power at 8 Ω
• Bridge circuit – each consecutive pair of power amplifiers can be switched together with 140 watts of output power into 8 Ω
• Typical NAD sound characteristics
• Ideal for high-quality multi-room audio installations
• Easy handling of long cable runs and larger speaker loads
• analog cross-channel stereo cinch inputs and outputs ("Global")
• Loudspeaker connection via PHOENIX terminals
• 12 volt trigger input
• IR in/out

16-channel power amplifier for professional sound systems
Flexible application options
A modified version of the proven Hypex UcD power amplifier is used in the extremely robust CI 16-60 DSP. This is valued for its reliable operation even under difficult loads and with long cable runs as well as its extremely low distortion and noise components in the audible range. On the one hand, the power amplifier has analog, cross-channel stereo cinch inputs and outputs (“global”) as well as a separate cinch input and output for each channel. Looping the audio signal through to all inputs makes it easy to drive multiple amplifiers in larger installations.
Configuration and calibration via network
The 16-channel power amplifier is integrated into the network via a LAN connection and is also controlled via this. A web-based user interface is available to the installer for configuring and calibrating the amplifier. It allows access to the digital multi-channel signal processing (DSP) and thus detailed control of all important parameters.
A virtual patch panel allows any input to be routed to one or more outputs without the need to make physical cable connections. In addition, the user interface informs about the operating temperature and power status and offers some basic troubleshooting functions such as power off, factory reset and firmware updates.
