The new DSPeaker Anti-Mode X4 preamp/DAC combines an uncompromising selection of audio electronics with more than a decade of expertise in acoustics and signal processing. It was designed with one goal in mind: to make your speakers shine in your home, in your unique acoustic environment.

The interaction between the speakers and the room is typically the most important performance-limiting factor in a high-end audio system. Every listening room introduces errors that can be in the order of a dozen decibels or even more. These errors are most pronounced in the bass and lower midrange, where classic acoustic treatment loses its effectiveness.

The idea of ​​the industry-leading anti-mode automatic room calibration is simple: you want the speakers and subwoofers to work with the room instead of against it. Only in this way can the best possible sound be produced. Benefits of anti-mode correction include significantly improved clarity, tighter and deeper bass response, the absence of unwanted "boom" and seamless integration of main speakers and subwoofers.

The installation procedure is automated. Anyone can achieve excellent results without any prior knowledge. After a brief calibration process, Anti-Mode™ knows your listening space inside out and designs bespoke filters required for your unique space. You will be very surprised at what your speakers can do!

The Anti-Mode X4 covers a wide range of application scenarios, from the traditional “2.0” configuration with two speakers to more exotic installations with multiple subwoofers optimized for multiple listening places. The best crossover frequency is automatically determined for loudspeakers and subwoofers.

In addition to automatic correction, the user has full control over extensive tone controls and custom filters. The preferred sound signature can even be changed in real time, conveniently from the listening position. Various settings can be saved for quick recall at any time. Most functions can be controlled via the supplied all-aluminum remote control or via the control wheel on the front.

A modern, easy-to-use graphical user interface is available. Room resonance graphs can be viewed in detail without the need for a personal computer or other additional equipment. A built-in graphic design tool is available for all kinds of sound enhancements.

Three high-end stereo digital-to-analog converters (DACs) drive the main, auxiliary, and headphone outputs. Combined with controlling the output range and selecting the best converters with an IC tester, the XLR outputs achieve a dynamic range of 126dB and an overall distortion of less than 0,0008%. The primary and auxiliary outputs are active simultaneously for speakers and subwoofer and are available as both XLR and RCA outputs. The primary output signal is also provided as optical and coaxial SPDIF.

The headphone output is available for late-night listening and when you don't want to disturb your household or neighbors. Headphone mode features a proprietary auralization process that makes many recordings sound more natural and reduces listener fatigue.

Connections are plentiful

The two analogue stereo cinch and one analogue XLR input offer an SNR+THD of -104 dB. No matter which audio source you connect, you can use the full performance with the selection of the input range. The total of six SPDIF inputs and the USB audio 2.0 input support up to 192 kHz and DSD64 / DSD128 (via USB).

The power consumption in standby mode is only 0,5W, which saves both money and the environment.

You can choose between black/grey and silver/black cases to seamlessly integrate the Anti-Mode X4 into your home system.
