From August 5th "Sandman" exclusively on Netflix
Based on author Neil Gaiman's popular and award-winning DC comics series, Sandman is a masterful blend of myth and dark fantasy, with rich detail and interesting characters. The many adventures of Dream are told over ten exciting chapters that weave into a fascinating epic. The project was developed by Neil Gaiman, who also serves as executive producer, showrunners Allan Heinberg and David S. Goyer.
When we close our eyes and sleep, another world awaits us - the dream realm. Here, the lord of dreams Dream (Tom Sturridge) as "Sandman" gives shape to our deepest fears and fantasies. But when Dream is unexpectedly held captive for a century, his absence sets in motion a series of events that will change both the dream and waking worlds forever. In order to restore order, Dream must now travel through different worlds and times, correcting the mistakes he has made in his long existence. Along the way, he will see old friends and enemies and meet new individuals who are both cosmic and human in nature.
