KEF has added two exciting new models to its extensive range of in-wall speakers: the ultra-high-performance Ci250RRM-THX three-way coaxial loudspeaker and the Ci250RRb-THX high-performance in-wall subwoofer. The first built-in loudspeaker from KEF with MAT

A revolutionary in-wall loudspeaker in the KEF Extreme Home Theater range, the Ci250RRM-THX is KEF's first three-way coaxial loudspeaker model to feature innovative technologies, where the KEF development team in Maidstone, UK have pushed the technological boundaries to deliver the best possible to achieve sound.

Patent-pending 'Cavity Radiation Control' technology has solved the midrange problems associated with typical three-way coaxial loudspeakers. Its unique open midrange with acoustically absorbent foam design eliminates distortion by up to 30dB, which equates to a 99,9% reduction in SPL. Thanks to Cavity Radiation Control, the Ci250RRM-THX is able to achieve the highest level of acoustic realism in the midrange of any in-wall speaker on the market to date.

Another innovation is the implementation of the 'Low Diffraction LF Aperture' in Ci250RRM-THX. This is a carefully profiled, smoothed enclosure design for the Uni-Q driver array with an outer acoustically absorbent foam ring that reduces resonance and diffraction. The result is exceptional reproduction in the MT/HT range while maintaining tremendous bass response.

The Ci250RRM-THX is also the first KEF in-wall speaker to feature Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT). MAT is a highly complex, labyrinthine structure
which absorbs 99% of unwanted sound from the back of the tweeter, allowing for clearer, more natural high-frequency response. Additionally, the 100mm Uni-Q driver array in the Ci250RRM-THX is the latest 12th generation, sharing many of the same technologies as the latest KEF Blade speaker and the recently launched LS60 wireless high-fidelity speaker system.
