Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer (YPAO™)
Environmental factors play an important role in a room's acoustic signature and in any type of audio. Yamaha's proprietary YPAO™ auto-calibration feature, used in many home theater products for decades, has been optimized for the R-N2000A to create an ideal listening environment, just like you're in a professional audio listening room—without the hassle having to make manual adjustments. YPAO™ features a precision EQ that performs exceptionally high-precision equalization at up to 192kHz/64-bit resolution. YPAO RSC (Reflected Sound Control) works in concert to actively control the important early reflection noise. It automatically adjusts and optimizes how the sound is heard in your room, depending on the wall materials and speaker placement. That means you can enjoy the full sound and unparalleled emotionality of hi-fi audio - right in your living room.
TOROID TRANSFORMER
Normally reserved for high-end hi-fi components, the R-N2000A benefits from the technical performance and absolute musicality of a toroidal transformer. In conjunction with numerous high-end hi-fi functions and components, the toroidal transformer ensures that the emotional bandwidth of the music is passed on to the listener. In addition, there is a 3mm thick brass base between the bottom of the transformer and the inner casing, which dampens the vibrations of the transformer and provides an overwhelmingly spatial and realistic sound.
HIGH PERFORMANCE DAC
We use the state-of-the-art ES9026PRO digital/analog converter from ESS Technologies for clear, transparent reproduction of the sound image and detailed musicality. This high-quality DAC achieves high-precision signal conversion via the balanced analog audio output and further improved current delivery for four-channel operation, effectively reproducing even the subtle acoustics of concert halls and delicate, expressive nuances in the sound.
LOW RESISTANCE CONCEPT
To avoid energy loss and audio signal degradation, the R-N2000A features thick wires for the ground connection – a key feature that identifies the components as true premium Hi-Fi devices. Also, the output of the power amp is bolted to reinforce grounding, which is important for audio quality. This creates an open, natural soundstage that brings the artist and the listener closer together.

As opposed to merely creating a powerful sound, we are concerned with a sense of dynamism that brings the contrast between stillness and movement in music to life, allowing you to experience music with an intense and deep emotionality, while being totally immersed in the musical immerse in the world.
MECHANICAL CONCEPT FOR A STABLE FLOOR
Just like Yamaha's high-end Hi-Fi model, the R-N2000A also works with the mechanical concept for a stable floor. The concept starts with the bolting of the feet, which are welded directly to the main chassis, and continues with the large heatsink, power transformer, and blocking capacitors, which are also bolted directly to the chassis. This design eliminates unwanted vibrations, resulting in powerful, expressive low-frequency reproduction. You can feel the intense groove of the music.
SILVER-PLATED BRASS FEET
Completing the amplifier's solid construction are the heavy, silver-tone brass feet, which reinforce the rich, fundamental low-frequency range and fill it with musicality.

FULLY BALANCED POWER AMPLIFIER
Thanks to our original amplifier technology, the power amplifier circuit including the power supply is completely independent from ground, and the influence of minute voltage fluctuations and external ground noise has been completely eliminated. This circuit design offers a number of advantages, including the perfect symmetry of the pull-pull operation in the output stage, the achievement of an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, and an overwhelming expressiveness that perfectly brings out the sound of any musical instrument.
SYMMETRICAL CONSTRUCTION
To achieve the epitome of stereo reproduction in this component, the R-N2000A has a perfectly symmetrical, foldable construction with the power supply in the middle and the power amp blocks at both ends of the main unit. This gives the unit ideal weight distribution and suppresses unwanted effects between channels for outstanding channel separation. The result is a remarkably pure reproduction of all parts of the sound - exactly as they are.
MUSIC CAST
The R-N2000A features Yamaha's unique MusicCast network system. It's also compatible with a wide range of streaming services such as Amazon Music HD and Spotify, so you can enjoy the exceptionally high sound quality of today's high-resolution and lossless sound sources in full and with absolute fidelity. You can also use it to stream Apple Music with Airplay 2.
