The Monitor Audio Radius 270 houses a precision-engineered Radius driver system consisting of two 100 mm (4″) C-CAM woofers/midrange drivers and a 25 mm (1″) C-CAM tweeter. Pair with the Radius 225 or Radius 200 for sparkling home theater audio, or with the Radius 380/390 Sub in a discrete two-channel system.
With a height of one meter and a width of only 17,7 centimetres, the Radius 270 is more likely to be seen as a stylish piece of furniture or a noble design element in the room than as a loudspeaker. In addition, the small drivers allow the Radius 270 to be placed almost anywhere in the room (a back wall is preferred) without sacrificing spatiality. The Radius 270 combines all the basic virtues of a floorstanding loudspeaker without looking like one. - 4″ C-CAM Woofers – All new Radius woofers feature concave cone profiles introduced with our flagship Platinum speakers and then applied to the Gold GX. Extensive research and FEA modeling has allowed us to perfect the relationship between the new radiating diaphragm and motor design, introducing larger motors and voice coils for increased excursion, higher efficiency and reduced distortion.
- C-CAM Gold tweeters - optimized to deliver the finest and widest performance in the compact Radius enclosures. It benefits from a more efficient rear ventilation design that releases the air trapped and compressed at the rear of the tweeter dome and directs it around the drive unit to the rear loading chamber.
- HiVe II port design – Directly from the Platinum design concept, this is where the HiVe reflex port makes its debut at Radius. It is shaped to have the same effect on airflow as a gun barrel does on a bullet. Corrugation within the port helps accelerate flow and reduce turbulence, allowing air to flow in and out of the port more efficiently, resulting in faster, more dynamic bass response.
- Single-bolt driver attachment provides mechanical decoupling and improved midrange clarity and resolution. The thru-bolt also acts as a rigid cross brace to provide a very solid, non-resonant enclosure.

Elegant and very slim column speakers that not only impress with their design, but also with their sound performance. However, a subwoofer is recommended. Otherwise you sometimes seem a bit “thin”.
