CINEMA DSP HD3 for movies, music and gaming

Yamaha's cutting-edge 3D sound field reproduction technology was developed by combining actually measured sound field data with the latest digital signal processing technology. The redesigned CINEMA DSP HD3 features new signal processing algorithms and maximizes movie theater sound effects, creating a new level of realism. This creates a sound field with an intense sense of presence and without the impression of boundaries. By using front, center and surround speakers to create a virtual rear speaker, CINEMA DSP HD3 playback of up to 11.1 channels is possible even with a 7.1 channel speaker configuration*.

Yamaha RX-A4A Dolby Atmos® with Treble Virtualization

If you don't have ceiling speakers or upward-firing speakers, there's Dolby Atmos® with height virtualization. This system simulates the Atmos audio experience with front-facing speakers. You can configure up to five speakers to have the same effect as two ceiling speakers, or use all seven channels for an effective simulation of four overhead speakers.

When music is encoded in the Yamaha RX-A4A into a digital, compressed format such as MP3, the frequency response is affected. Yamaha's Compressed Music Enhancer uses exclusive algorithms in the digital signal processing that restore the lost quality. This way the music sounds the way it should! Fresh and balanced.

Benefits of High Slew Rate Amplifiers

A new circuit that more than doubles the slew rate creates precise signal transmission and is particularly suitable for high-resolution audio signals. Amplifiers with a high slew rate often cause unstable signal transmission, but Yamaha's newly developed circuit achieves a high slew rate with stable signal transmission.

Qualcomm® QCS407 is engineered to deliver outstanding audio performance, with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for immersive home audio, and a dedicated high-performance audio DSP.

Yamaha Anti-Resonance Technology Wedge

The newly developed Anti Resonance Technology (ART) wedge forms a fifth foot in the middle of the chassis base. This dampens much more of the vibrations generated by the power transformer, power transistors and heatsinks, as well as the vibrations that can be caused by the sound emitted by the speakers, providing dynamic sound and focused, accurate reproduction.

Redesigned mechanical structure

The highly logical and symmetrical internal layout of components and fully redesigned circuit boards is designed to keep the signal paths on each board as short as possible. The new H-cross frame improves receiver body rigidity and sound stability, enabling clearer, sharper and more transparent playback. Also, the redesigned mechanical structure helps to avoid the transfer of vibrations from the transformer to the amplifier circuit. Noise is reduced to improve clarity.

HDR10+*

HDR10+ not only stands for a dynamic spectrum (light-dark ratio) in video content from scene to scene (or even from frame to frame). With a small amount of metadata, it also represents the scene characteristics between light and dark, so that important details are preserved. This allows the images – and therefore the filmmaker's intention – to be more realistically represented on the screen.

8K/60Hz, 4K/120Hz*

Supports end-to-end 8K/4K resolutions as well as higher refresh rate solutions with a single redesigned cable for seamless integration into the HDMI ecosystem. 8K creates a super-immersive moving image with twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of 4K and four times the number of pixels. In combination with the update rate of 60 Hz, the result is a smooth, sharp moving image, even with fast image changes.
