BLU-Escent laser diodes with high light output

The JVC DLA-NZ8 uses the latest BLU-Escent laser technology with blue laser diodes as the light source. The BLU-Escent technology was specially adapted for home cinema projectors and achieves a light output of up to 3.000 lumens and a service life of 20.000 operating hours. For example, the enormous light output is used to increase the highlights in HDR projection and, in combination with the dynamic brightness control of the laser diodes, achieves an extremely realistic image display and fantastic image depth.

Perfect display of HDR10+ content

When it comes to reproducing the extended brightness range and the extensive BT.2020 color space as well as the 10-bit gradations of HDR (High Dynamic Range) content, our D-ILA projectors are the very first choice. The new models support all HDR formats, including HDR10 from Blu-rays or streaming services, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) from the broadcast sector and the latest HDR10+ format with dynamic metadata adjustment.

In addition, the JVC projectors are compatible with the two dynamic tone mappings of HDR10+ and Frame Adapt HDR. HDR10+ contains the metadata with the settings for each individual scene, Frame Adapt HDR constantly analyzes the maximum brightness in HDR10 content using a JVC proprietary algorithm. This ensures that you can enjoy every single scene of HDR content in optimal picture quality.

High-resolution all-glass lens for a precise display of all image details

The DLA-NZ9 features an all-glass lens in an aluminum body composed of 18 elements in 16 groups*1. In order to achieve an absolutely edge-sharp, realistic projection of high-resolution 8K or 4K images, five optical ED lenses with anomalous dispersion were combined to optimize the different refractive index of the RGB colors. This avoids possible color fringes and chromatic aberrations and improves the image projection significantly.

Thanks to 4K120p input, the D-ILA projectors are ideal for experiencing 4K games in the best quality on a big screen. The low latency mode reduces the delay times during image processing to a minimum, so that image signals with a high bandwidth can also be processed without compression. The result is an optimal synchronicity of operations and image display, which ensures a fantastic gaming experience.
