R_volution NAS

The R_volution NAS is a powerful 8-bay NAS with RIP functionality to back up your CD, DVD, Blu-ray 3D and 4K UHD discs. Perfect for multi-room audio and video (including movies and TV shows) throughout the home. Thanks to powerful video processing technology and the Media Center R_video application, R_volution NAS allows you to create a dematerialized audio/video library from your CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, Blu-ray 3D discs and 4K UHD Blu-rays. The R_volution NAS dematerializes your music and videos and stores them on hard drives without compression or loss of quality. The R_volution NAS is highly scalable and can continue to operate even after a hard drive failure without losing any content.

The R_video Db movie database contains data on more than 1.200.000 movie titles including DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, 4K UHD and 2.000.000 CD albums from around the world.

As your collection grows, you can add additional hard drives to increase storage capacity for your video and audio content. A single R_volution NAS offers storage capacity for up to 192.000 CDs, 19.200 DVDs, 3.200 Blu-rays or 2.000 4K UHD discs. Multiple R_volution NAS servers can be combined into one system to store thousands of video and music content.

R_volution NAS offers fail-safe storage of your collection with professional RAID 5 hard drive technology: If a hard drive fails, the data is automatically restored to the hot spare hard drive without losing any content. The defective drive is replaced without shutting down the server or interrupting ongoing playback.

The R_volution NAS delivers movies, audio and video content simultaneously to R_volution players throughout the home over a standard home network. Once CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays and UHDs are stored on the R_volution NAS, they can be played immediately on any R_volution player in the house.

NOTE: The RIP function works on 95% of discs. For various reasons, some discs may be unplayable or cannot be analyzed or ripped by R_video.

Enjoy movies and TV shows throughout your home by adding R_volution media players and play Blu-ray quality movies in stunning UHD quality in up to 3 zones simultaneously. Each player works independently, allowing you to watch different movies in different rooms of your home.

Yachts

With the R_volution NAS you can enjoy your movies from the comfort of your yacht, even without an internet connection. All important R_video functions are available to you, except for the operations that require an internet connection, such as: For example, downloading movie trailers, downloading subtitles, or analyzing new movies or TV shows. To add video content on the go, simply wait until you're in a port with an internet connection to download all the movie details to your library. R_video can then retrieve the film cover, cast, crew, genre and other detailed information about the film. You can then enjoy your new films when your ship is back at sea. R_video works the same way in private planes, motorcoaches, and other environments with limited or no internet connectivity.

Plug and play installation & easy access

The R_video NAS is completely plug and play. The only thing you need to do is create an R_volution account on your R_volution media player and enjoy!

• Plug-and-play network configuration: All you need to do is connect your R_volution NAS to a power outlet and your local network. The R_volution NAS is plug and play. You don't even need to do any network configuration. Any R_volution media player connected to your local network will automatically detect the R_volution NAS.
• Easy Access: Easily access the R_volution NAS from a computer connected to your local network and copy your personal content to the R_volution NAS using the copy-paste function. You can also manage (copy, paste, cut, rename, delete...) the folders and files stored on your R_volution NAS using the R_volution Media Player remote control.

The R_volution NAS must be operated with an R_volution media player.
