DALI PHANTOM M-375

The PHANTOM M built-in wall loudspeakers enable full-sounding stereo or home cinema playback without the use of shelf or floor-standing speakers in the room. Building on DALI's decades of experience in the development and manufacture of high-quality built-in loudspeakers, the PHANTOM M-375 benefits from numerous technical features of our PHANTOM S reference series. In addition to its narrower design, the PHANTOM M-375 also offers a particularly attractive sales price.

The PHANTOM M-375 was primarily developed for use in multi-channel systems and can also be used for the front, center and surround channels. However, since the built-in loudspeaker, like all DALI products, is tuned in accordance with our sound philosophy, which has been obligatory for many years, it also impresses in a stereo configuration with a balanced and dynamic sound typical of DALI - with or without a subwoofer.

PHANTOM M loudspeakers are 100% designed and engineered in-house - and manufactured in our own factory.

LOW-MIDDLE RANGE

The PHANTOM M-375 uses three 180 mm (7”) cone chassis with the reddish shimmering wood fiber cones typical of DALI. One of these loudspeakers is actively controlled, two oscillate as passive radiators for support. All three have a particularly flat cone geometry to ensure a wide beam angle and optimal coordination with the housing volume.

The actively controlled bass-midrange driver is a scaled-down version of the driver used in the high-end PHANTOM S series, with the 38 mm diameter high-performance voice coil remaining unchanged. The perfectly coordinated trio of woofers is therefore able to reproduce deep bass down to 57 Hertz with great force.

We use our patented SMC technology in the magnet system of the woofer, which is characterized by minimal distortion and a particularly dynamic and impulse-accurate reproduction.

HYBRID TWEETER

The PHANTOM M-375 is equipped with a hybrid tweeter consisting of a dome tweeter and a ribbon tweeter, as used in almost all high-quality DALI speaker models.

The particularly large 28 mm fabric dome is responsible for the reproduction of all tones between 2.500 and 15.000 Hertz. It is manufactured in-house and, in addition to enormous dynamics and very high resilience, offers an optimal connection to the transmission range of the mid-bass driver. The ultra-light fabric is less than half the weight (0,060mg per square millimeter) of the material used in most other dome tweeters on the market. Thanks to the comparatively large membrane, the tweeter is able to generate a higher sound pressure level with less deflection, which is why the voice coil has to move much less.

The ribbon, which plays above 15.000 Hertz, is a true master in the horizontal radiation of high frequencies and is therefore the ideal partner for the tweeter dome. Numerous tests in specialist magazines around the world confirm the excellent reproduction quality of the DALI hybrid tweeter.

If the M-375 is used for the center channel in a surround system, the hybrid tweeter module can be rotated by 90 degrees. In this way, the ribbon tweeter remains in a vertical position to ensure the particularly wide horizontal radiation that characterizes it.

CASING

The PHANTOM M-375 has a housing made of glass fiber reinforced ABS material with an extremely low installation depth of only 100 mm. Despite these very compact dimensions for a high-quality built-in wall loudspeaker, the system offers powerful and voluminous bass reproduction with its stable housing and two passive radiators.

Since both PHANTOM M models have the same housing size, the structural requirements for their installation can already be created before the decision for one of the two loudspeakers has been made.

The baffle and the edge of the PHANTOM M-375 are painted matt black. There are no shiny surfaces on the front so that reflections of the projector light do not disturb the reproduction. The grille adheres magnetically and can be completely colored in the desired color if required, so that the loudspeakers can be unobtrusively integrated into the living environment.
