DALI OBERON 1 C

The OBERON 1 C is the perfect streaming speaker for smaller rooms. Controlled wirelessly via the SOUND HUB COMPACT, the two integrated 50 watt amplifiers ensure powerful, mature stereo sound despite the compact housing dimensions.

The OBERON 1 C is the compact loudspeaker of the series. It features an ultra-lightweight 29mm soft dome tweeter and a 130mm bass/midrange driver powered by an SMC magnet system. The bass reflex channel leading out to the rear of the housing ensures the optimal balance between the internal volume required for the bass performance on the one hand and compact dimensions for use in smaller rooms on the other.

The OBERON 1 C is intended for smaller rooms where space is at a premium and music is heard at low levels. The OBERON 1 C appeals to music lovers and audiophiles who are more enthusiastic about compact loudspeakers in terms of concept and sound. For them, the enjoyment of music (whether from CDs, Internet radio stations or in the form of a valuable record collection) plays a greater role than TV audio. Nevertheless, two OBERON 1 C loudspeakers placed on the sides of a television are very well suited for the reproduction of television sound at a high level.

The OBERON 1 C receives the digital audio signals wirelessly from a SOUND HUB COMPACT or SOUND HUB with a resolution of 24 bits and 96 kHz.

FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION

The chassis and crossovers used in the OBERON C series are designed in such a way that they emit the audio signals from a particularly wide angle. This not only enables a sonorous and spatially precise reproduction outside of the sweet spot, but also significantly reduces the harmonic distortions and diffractions that impair the sound.

LOW LATENCY

The audio signals are transmitted from the SOUND HUB COMPACT to the OBERON C loudspeakers using a proprietary 30-bit wireless protocol. The latency from the input to the loudspeaker is usually less than 15 ms, and both loudspeakers are controlled at the same time.

PATENTED SMC TECHNOLOGY

The pole piece of the magnet systems of all OBERON C mid-bass drivers consists in part of the non-conductive Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) magnet material patented by DALI. The use of SMC significantly reduces mechanical distortion, which means that the loudspeakers sound very pleasant over a long period of time and, given the price range, are surprisingly detailed.

ACTIVE SPEAKERS

In every OBERON C loudspeaker, two class D power amplifiers, each with an impulse power of 50 watts, are used, which were selected for their high sound quality and dynamics. One amplifier supplies the tweeter, one the low-midrange driver (or the two low-midrange drivers of the OBERON 7 C).
