Moonage Daydream in cinemas from September 15.09th

"Neither documentary nor biographical, but a haunting film experience" - with MOONAGE DAYDREAM, Brett Morgen (The Kid Stays in the Picture, Cobain: Montage of Heck, Jane) succeeds in creating an unprecedented portrait of the exceptional artist David Bowie. Not only was he one of the brightest personalities on the music scene, he was also a brilliant singer and songwriter who could surprise the world with his ever-changing musical style and look to match.

The David Bowie Estate gave documentary filmmaker Morgen unique access to their archives, an honor unmatched by any filmmaker before. Their collection included rare and never-before-seen drawings, recordings, films and diaries. Morgen viewed everything and spent four years putting the film together and another 18 months designing the soundscape, animation and color palette. For the film, the sound team -- consisting of Bowie's longtime collaborator, friend and record producer Tony Visconti and Academy Award®-winning sound engineer Paul Massey (Bohemian Rhapsody) -- remixed and remastered Bowie's original recordings for the big screen.

The result is an expressive collage of images and music, thoughts and inspirations, in which David Bowie even has a say himself. If you are not a Bowie fan before the film, you will be after the 140 minutes at the latest. Even the idol's estate gave the film its blessing, even though they vehemently distanced themselves from every other predecessor. MOONAGE DAYDREAM premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2022, where it screened out of competition and wowed audiences there.
