Sky releases the official trailer forTender Hearts“: The extraordinary female science fiction comedy series humorously discusses the relationship models and the search for great love in a modern and digital world. Friederike Kempter can be seen in the leading role of Mila. After a few unsuccessful dates with different men, she dares a new adventure and finally orders "Friendly Bo" (Madieu Ulbrich) - a humanoid robot or so-called Lovedroid, who is to stand by her as a life partner from now on. “Tender Hearts” can be seen exclusively every Thursday at 6:20.15 p.m. on Sky Atlantic from April XNUMX in weekly double episodes and is available on demand as a complete season via Sky Q and on the WOW streaming service. 

About Tender Hearts:

Mila (Friederike Kempter) is a games programmer and single, she has moved into a new, chic city apartment and is enjoying life. But when it comes to dating and sex, there is a certain dissatisfaction. Her best friend, the free spirit Toni (Vladimir Korneev), supports her attempts at dating, but Mila keeps fleeing from being too close. Her sister Anja (Heike Makatsch) annoys her with her unearthly success and her high standards, and her parents have been waiting for Mila for a long time for her "Mr. Right" brings home. Everything changes when Mila stumbles upon an offer from Tender Hearts. The company rents out intelligent Lovedroids, built and programmed to make their customers happy - in every way. Spontaneously she subscribes to "Friendly Bo" (Madieu Ulbrich), who becomes her partner from then on - to the amazement of friends and family. With Bo by her side, Mila starts dreaming and loving life again. But she has to defend her new relationship against all sorts of prejudices and soon begins to doubt her decision. Meanwhile, Bo not only learns more and more about Mila, but also about himself. 

With a lot of humor and empathy, director Pola Beck (“Pressure”, “The Last Word”) explores the relationship between man and machine and asks how we want to live and love in an increasingly diverse world. And how we meet as humans, while algorithms and artificial intelligence are increasingly influencing our lives.

"Tender Hearts" was created based on a concept and screenplay by the author Eva Lia Reinegger ("Kreuzkölln"), who thus adds the much-needed female and tech-positive perspective to the near-future series world.
