Triad InCeiling TS-IC82
Triad's TS-IC82 speaker offers homeowners the refined, musical quality of Triad speakers for their entire home. This speaker features an amplified poly-mica woofer for superior bass and an adjustable Tetoron dome tweeter for rich, natural sound.
The Triad Distributed series is available in three different series, which differ as follows:
- 1 series: 3/4" (19mm) fabric and polypropylene tweeter dome Woofer / Open enclosure
- 2 series: 3/4" (19mm) Tetoron dome tweeter and poly mica woofer / Open enclosure
- 3 series: 1" (25mm) Silk Dome Tweeter and Carbon Fiber Woofer / Closed Enclosure
In addition, there are several different types of built-in loudspeakers and woofer sizes in each series:
- INNER: Designation for in-ceiling (recessed ceiling)
- IW: Designation for in-wall (wall installation)
- DT: Labeling for Dual Tweeters (Single Stereo Speakers) This speaker has two voice coils that allow it to transmit both stereo channels through one speaker, creating stereo sound from a single speaker.
- SD: Designation for a low installation depth of only 4,5 cm (shallow depth)
- TS-IWX1: Designation for Triad - InWall (IW) - Series 1 and the "X" in the designation stands for the woofer size
All speakers in the Distributed Audio Series 2 are timbre-matched, allowing the homeowner to mix and match speakers within the series to meet the needs of each room while maintaining identical sound quality throughout the home.
The Distributed Audio Series 2 speakers come with white, round, frameless grilles that are unobtrusive and good looking. The grille attaches to the speaker via hidden neodymium magnets embedded in the speaker baffle, allowing for quick installation and a snug fit. Custom round or square grills are sold separately and are factory painted for a perfect finish that blends seamlessly with any interior design.
Swiveling tweeter
The pivoting tweeter can be moved up to 10 degrees and delivers high-quality sound reproduction to the listener's position and offers flexible installation options.
Poly mica woofer
Mica-infused polypropylene provides a reinforced cone material with increased stiffness and a high stiffness-to-weight ratio—while retaining the damping characteristics of a traditional polypropylene woofer.
Voted Voice
All Distributed Audio Series 2 speakers are voice-matched, allowing homeowners to mix and match speakers within the series to meet the needs of each room while providing identical sonic characteristics throughout the home.
Magnetic attachment
The low-profile, frameless covers attach to the speaker with hidden neodymium magnets, allowing for quick installation and a snug fit. Individual color adjustment is possible.
Easy installation
Using the proven traditional triad mounting system with reinforced brass threaded inserts, the Distributed Audio Series loudspeakers install in seconds and remain firmly attached to the mounting surface for the life of the system. High-quality spring clips make connecting speaker cables quick and easy, while the magnetic, frameless grille sits flush with the mounting surface with ease. Additionally, the tweeter bridge serves as a durable handle that makes it easy to hold during installation.
