Display on the front

The display on the front of the amplifier shows the volume level and other settings. Access the menu function screen with the selection knob to adjust volume, crossover, phase and EQ settings. You can also set the sound mode, night mode and power supply mode here and assign an IR device ID for integration into a control system. There is also a lock feature that prevents accidental changes to the settings.

Custom EQ settings

The Episode EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500R amplifier offers the flexibility to enable or disable EQ settings. There are 3 custom EQ settings optimized for our subwoofers.

Performance mode selection

Thanks to intelligent power management, the Episode EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500R turns on automatically when an audio signal is detected or when a 12-volt trigger is used by your AV receiver or processor. An illuminated push button on the front panel also allows you to turn the amp on and off when set to Always On mode.

Connections

RCA line-level inputs and pass-through outputs allow connection of additional amplifiers, while 12V trigger input and output allows connection of another 12V triggering device; the amplifier also features two sub-outputs in parallel configuration.

Rackmount installation option

Rack ears with three mounting points prevent the amp from sagging when rack mounted, while the top cover and side vents allow for better airflow.

Integration of control systems

Has an IR port for connecting an IR device. Simply connect an IR repeater or IR control system to the Episode EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500R's rear panel IR port and set the device ID in the front panel control menu.

The amplifier features a limiter circuit that protects the connected subwoofer from harsh or harmful distortion that could destroy not only the listening experience but also the woofer.
