Revolutionary sound absorption with MAT™

At the heart of the latest R-Series is Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), a highly complex, maze-like structure in which each of the intricate channels efficiently absorbs a specific frequency. Combined, the channels act like an acoustic black hole, absorbing 99% of unwanted sound from the back of the tweeter, eliminating the resulting distortion and providing a cleaner, more natural acoustic performance.

A customized one 12th generation Uni-Q driver system with MAT is found in all seven R-Series models and delivers incredibly detailed reproduction. It is the result of decades of internal experience and the use of the latest simulation and analysis tools. There are many developments, all contributing to the exceptional performance of the R-Series.

The R Series' exquisite detail and transparency is the result of a series of tweaks and modifications designed specifically for this collection. From the refined tweeter gap damping that tames resonances for improved detail, to the flexible decoupling chassis that eliminates unwanted vibration for greater clarity. The hybrid aluminum woofers provide tight, deep and controlled bass, and the enhanced crossover and finely tuned signal path ensure pristine, clean sound. These innovations ensure that the R-Series sounds even more transparent and lifelike than one is used to from this already exceptional series.

A versatile collection

The R series includes seven models that offer the user a wide range of options for putting together their ideal hi-fi system. Whether it's a stereo or home theater setup, you can rest assured that you'll enjoy a rich, realistic sound experience.

The three floorstanding speakers R11 meta, R7 meta and R5 meta and the R3 Meta bookshelf speaker deliver faithful stereo sound for the listener's favorite music, regardless of the size of the listening room. Each allows users to discover depth and detail they never knew existed - from a scrap of pick on a guitar string to the emotion and atmosphere of a live performance.

The two center speakers, below R6 meta and R2 meta, which can also be used in LCR configuration (Left-Centre-Right), ensure brilliant dialog clarity in home cinemas in different room sizes. The center speaker and all other models in the series use identically sized Uni-Q arrays. This creates a unified sound character that ensures that the focus is entirely on the film and not on the devices in the room.

If the user wants to experience Dolby Atmos sound, the R8 Meta Surround speaker is an ideal addition to the system. It can either be wall mounted or placed on top of another R Series speaker for unparalleled sound. Paired with one of KEF's finest subwoofers, the full cinematic experience is felt, from the deepest thump to the quietest whisper.

Stunningly simple and elegant loudspeakers

The R-Series' understated design aesthetic is complemented by carefully selected color options. Almost every R-Series model is available in three finishes that blend into both traditional and contemporary interiors: gloss black, gloss white and walnut.

There are also special color finishes for two models: the Titanium Gloss Special Edition for the R7 Meta* and the Indigo Gloss Special Edition for the R3 Meta*. The R3 Meta also features threaded inserts that allow the speaker to be securely attached to the top of the KEF S3 stands can be attached, which also have an integrated cable management and a fillable column.
