The pass in May at Sky

Sky today announces the broadcast date of the third and final season of "The passport" known. The multiple award-winning Sky Original will be shown in a double episode on May 4, 2023 at 20:15 p.m., followed by another episode on Thursdays (until June 15, 2023). "The Passport", season three, can also be seen on the WOW streaming service and via Sky Q on demand.

About "The Passport":

After Ellie Stocker and Gedeon Winter become bitter opponents at the end of Season XNUMX, events bring them together one last time. A series of mysterious murders on both sides of the border rocks the region. While a crime pattern became apparent in the case of the Krampus murderer and Alexander Gössen, the motives for this series of murders initially remain in the dark for the investigators. The case pushes Ellie and Gedeon to their limits and confronts them with their own story. Because while Gedeon is looking for the tormentor from his childhood, Elli tries against all odds to convict Gedeon of corruption in order to bring the truth about the murder of her colleague Yela Antic to light. The third season of "The Passport" places the protagonists in their search for justice before a final choice between revenge and forgiveness.

Fascinating characters, elaborate sets and unusual locations in an archaic landscape are also the starting point for a nerve-wracking murder hunt when shooting the third season. The well-known dark tableau is drawn around another archetype of a serial killer who kills at random and is intertwined with the personal dramas of the two protagonists.

The eight episodes of "Der Pass" were produced by W&B Television on behalf of Sky Germany. The screenplays for the W&B Television production were written by Christopher Schier, Senad Halilbašić and Robert Buchschwenter. The directors were Christopher Schier, who also acts as showrunner, and Thomas W. Kiennast, who is also responsible for camera work. Both were already the creative minds behind the highly acclaimed and Grimme award-winning Sky Original "The Ibiza Affair". W&B Television producers Oliver Vogel, Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann are producing on behalf of Sky Germany in co-production with epo-Film. On the part of Sky, Quirin Schmidt is once again responsible for the series as Executive Producer.

The new season of “Der Pass” was funded by the Austrian Television Fund (RTR), the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF), the Bavarian Film Television Fund (FFF), the Vienna Film Fund and the State of Salzburg. Beta Film handles world sales.
