Stealth Acoustics LRX85

The invisible Stealth Acoustics LRX85 is a high quality 3-way system with two panels. The LRX85 is a truly powerful and complete full-range solution that does not require special bass-limiting filters, additional protection circuitry or external subwoofers. An active, bi-amplified LRX85ACT version is available for even more performance.

The 300 watt handling capacity allows for an output power of up to 105 dB with first-class sound quality in the extended range. The LRX85 is an exemplary invisible speaker for a variety of applications including home theaters, high-impact distributed audio systems, and critical listening environments where aesthetic requirements do not allow for a visible speaker.

The LRX85 uses separate, easy-to-install, flat front panels for mid-high and bass response, improving performance while minimizing intermodulation distortion. The two panels can be mounted up to 1m apart and still deliver high quality results.

The mid-high panel contains four 25-watt neodymium midrange motors and one 25-watt neodymium tweeter motor aligned in Stealth's Quad-Balanced Midrange Drive™ configuration. Advanced internal materials and the smooth FidelityGlass™ platter surface allow for an upper frequency range of up to 20 kHz. A multi-stage passive crossover allows a single speaker line from the amplifier to feed both the mid-high and bass panels. The LRX85 crossover incorporates three independent, self-resetting protection circuits to protect the speaker from excessive amplifier power and ensure maximum long-term reliability.

The separate 8" high-performance cone woofer panel provides extended bass response down to 35Hz when the panel is installed in a recommended backbox and properly tuned. The result is an impressive sounding speaker that rivals visible alternatives.

Stealth Acoustics' invisibility offers a major advantage over traditional speakers, allowing them to be installed wherever they sound best, free from visual concerns that might conflict with architectural features. The Stealth Acoustics LRX85 is designed to be installed into standard wall or ceiling construction, with numerous on-site finishing options available including paint, lightweight wallpaper, fabric, wood veneer, vinyl graphics and select textured coatings. There is no need for non-standard wall covering materials. Installation instructions are presented on a paper overlay that must be removed prior to installation. The overlay can also be used as a cutting template for retrofitting the speakers into existing wall panels. Unique assembly and advanced finishing methods can be done using special techniques.
