I first had the Hisense PX3-Pro, but was annoyed by the speckles and so I came across the Formovie, which takes a different approach. The picture looks much more analogue and not artificial, and the lack of speckles also makes the picture much more homogeneous and clear. The Hisense PX3-Pro is not a bad device, but the speckles really annoyed me. Now I am really satisfied and can only recommend that anyone take the same step if the speckles are a problem. Many thanks to Heimkinowelten for the great and detailed advice. They really took a lot of time.

There's really nothing to complain about when it comes to the picture and you can also play games really well with it, it's fun. What's disappointing is the 3D update that doesn't support frame packing. That's kind of bitter and not so great. 3D doesn't play a big role for us and I'll live with it, can live with it and have to - but a suitable update from formovie would be great.

Well, where do you start... a new laser TV is what we needed, as our old Hisense PL1 is moving house. The first thing we tested was the Hisense PL2. There was no noticeable improvement over our perfectly calibrated PL1. On the recommendation of a dealer, we tested the Xgimi Aura 2. The same result as with the PL2, and in my opinion no improvement over the PL1. Then came the Hisense PX3 pro. No question, a good device, but where on earth does all the hype come from? If the picture is your main focus, the PX3 pro should be out the question when you first play back SD material and, for example, Waipu.tv. The PL 1 is clearly way ahead here. What bothered me personally about the PL2, Aura2 and PX3 pro are the extreme colors, the "artificial picture" (despite calibration). For me, the playback has nothing to do with a natural picture.
Then came the Formovie Theater Premium. Immediately after playing the first image, it was clear that this could be a good fit. I spent two days fiddling with the settings and color reproduction, and now what I'm getting out of the device is more than good. I must say, though, that I'm not at all fond of the settings of the "Ultimate Edition," and I have completely different settings myself. But that's a matter of taste. I prefer a calm, sharp, and deep image with natural colors, nothing artificial, and that's what the Formovie offers me. I use the Formovie on a 2" ALR/CLR floor-standing screen with 120 gain (St. Carbon Black), so watching TV, series, and films in daylight is no problem. I don't use Google TV because it's an external source. Formovie starts in standby in about 0.6-2 seconds, and in off mode without Google TV in about 3 seconds. The picture is already amazing, but I'm sure the next firmware update will improve it even further. So, if you really prioritize the picture, the Formovie Theater Premium is a great home theater.
